We are pleased to introduce you to the perfect tour to fully enjoy the beauties of the Eastern side of our island!
Our driver and our guide will accompany you up to an altitude of 1800 meters, from which you will take a pleasing walk along the Southern side of the volcano. At the end of the path, surrounded by the greenery, you will reach the viewpoint of Valle del Bove, from which you will enjoy the breath-taking view of the summit craters of the volcano.
After descending again to 1800 meters altitude, you will have a lunch break at a typical high mountain refuge.
Later, you will be accompanied for a short visit inside a lava tunnel, where you will discover scientific features and curiosities about it*.
Once the exploratory part is concluded, the second part of the tour will begin. You will descend up to the village of Acitrezza, the land of "I Malavoglia", a famous literary work by the writer Giovanni Verga from Catania.
As soon as you reach the destination, you will have a walk along the characteristic promenade, discovering picturesque views and curiosities about this little Etnean village.
In the end, you will conclude the day in the best way – enjoying an exquisite Sicilian granita and the wonderful panorama of the Faraglioni at sunset.
● Pick up at the hotel;
● Hike along a naturalistic trail at 1,700 m a.s.l., overlook of the Valle del Bove and of the active summit craters of Etna;
● Lunch at a typical Etna shelter;
● Visit inside a lava tube with torches and caving helmets;
● Descent to Acitrezza, walk along the seafront and granita break (optional, not included in the price);
● Return to the hotel.
